Also, if you get your boyfriend a gift for your one month, it could get really expensive to get him a gift every month you're together. And he might feel pressured to give you a gift every month. Depressed_Poet answered Tuesday March 27 2007, 4:10 pm: a scrapbook of ur times together... but you've only been going out for a month so that might not work...
ask him what his fave movie is or fave band
u can get him a cd or a movie with a bouquet of roses and one fake one. make the fake one a twisted napkin in the form of a rose. a guy did that for me once, it was so nice. but anyways, attach a note with it that says "i'll be there for you until the last one dies" [ Depressed_Poet's advice column | Ask Depressed_Poet A Question ]

But I'd like to warn you right now: after you date your boyfriend for awhile, you'll soon realize that buying him a gift for an anniversary every month gets expensive. REALLY expensive.
Make sure you don't go overboard with your first anniversary gift for several reasons:
1) if it's too big, he might get the impression that you're trying to hard to keep him as a boyfriend
2) it will make him think he has to buy you nice gifts every month, which might not be something he can afford
3) it's expensive for you
4) it truly is the thought that counts. I can't think of a single guy that would rather have an expensive gift than a poem his girlfriend wrote.
So basically, buy him a sweet card, do something creative for him (like write a poem or create a CD with all your fav. love songs on it for him), and spend a nice evening together watching movies.
