my friend ;amanda ;always makes plans with me & then ditches me last minute. and i never get to see her ;she lives 45 min. away i havent seen her in over a year. so i basically told her not to talk to me im so mad. i dont wanna hate her ;shes one of my best friends ;its just i cant keep wasting my weekends at home cuz she ditches me. what should i do?
Flaggal answered Saturday March 24 2007, 6:38 pm: Well, If I were you, I would tell Amanda straight up and say 'look, we are great friends but will you please stop wasting my weekends. You call me and say you want to hang out but you never show up'
Let her know how you feel.
If she says 'so what. you're not my life.' she isn't a real friend. Tell her 'I'm not trying to say that I should be your life but if we are true friends you wouldn't ditch me.'
Try not to get into an argument, try to talk calmly and clearly.

She sounds like the type of girl who wants people falling over her all the time....
ALSO;
you can stop making plans with her and wait for her to ask you to go out!

Or, you could tell her to grow up & you'll be there waiting for her to call & meet you somewhere so you can actually hang out. And in the meantime, hang out with some of your other friends. Don't let your weekends/plans revolve around her cause your other friends might get pissed. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
