imreal answered Tuesday March 20 2007, 6:45 pm: If your parents are serious about sending you away then what you should do is eat a lot in front of them. Like gorge out just to show them that you have fine eating habits. And if you want to stay the same weight then do a little exercise or something like that. LM answered Tuesday March 20 2007, 6:37 pm: As long as you're eating normally, your weight's fine.
If you're not anorexic, you have absolutely no need to go to rehab for it. Since your parents are obviously concerned about your eating habits, consider seeing a nutritionist or a coulselor a couple times. They may see something you don't. [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
When I put in your info, I got BMI of 18.1, which is just barely above the underweight category. BMI doesn't tell the whole story. In order to be anorexic, you must have other symptoms, like food restriction or over-exercising.
Be honest with yourself about whether you really do have anorexia. Do you see an outpatient counselor? I'm sure you aren't just naturally skinny and your parents just jumped right to the inpatient option without having you diagnosed first. You probably have already been diagnosed and have a distorted body image and other symptoms besides a somewhat low body-weight. Is it possible?

chakra answered Tuesday March 20 2007, 5:18 pm: You weight 7.5 stone which as you can see on this chart you are boarderline underweight/just OK
You could do with putting abit of weight on to reach a healthy weight but if you dont have a eating disorder and aren't on a diet then you shouldnt need to go to a in-patient rehabilitation for anorexia. [ chakra's advice column | Ask chakra A Question ]

go to the table and it will tell all!
* on the chart, it differs 5 lbs ...so you can be 5 over or 5 under and be normal. Explain to your parents that you are not anorexic. Prove it to them by eating like you normally do, and not throwing up like you dont. Explain to them how stupid anorexia is, and how you never would even think about it. You may just have a faster metabolism [ ASAPcamille's advice column | Ask ASAPcamille A Question ]
