okay i just got my hair cut and i hate it..how long would it take for it to grow an inch or 2 bwlow my sholder..right now it just touching..is there anyway to have my hair grown faster
DearAbby92 answered Saturday March 10 2007, 3:58 pm: People say there are formulas or remedies to make your hair grow faster, but none have been proven. Average hair growth is half an inch per month (it varies, like my friends hair grows very slowly and mine grows out pretty fast) so it will take a few months for a big difference. To make your hair appear longer, you could straighten it with a flat iron to lengthen it.

Like lie on the bed with your head hanging and massage the scalp it encourages the hair to grow. This works because when you massage the scalp it increaes blood flow. You have to do it everyday for 20 minutes. You have nothing to lose by trying.
Of course a balanced diet including fish will help. Use a good conditioner so your ends won't split and have to be cut. [ mitzi's advice column | Ask mitzi A Question ]
LM answered Saturday March 10 2007, 1:33 pm: On average, hair grows a half-inch a month. I say average because it varies so much from person to person.
As a general rule, your hair grows faster when you're healthy & younger people's hair typically grows faster. Mine, for example, grows about an inch a month (I know because I dye my hair and my roots show far too soon).
There's not much you can do to make it grow faster beyond taking vitamins, eating a balanced diet, and giving your hair an extra dose of TLC so the ends don't break off.
My mom's always said the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is two weeks. I'm sure you'll get used to it eventually; its probably just a shock for you having hair that's drastically shorter. [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
