What is so much better about a Chi straightener than one you would buy cheap? I'm debating if I should get a Chi but I don't know much about it.

I love my chi,its the best striaghter my parents have ever bought for me.Dont buy a cheap one,there is a huge difference.Its worth spending 150 dollers instead of buy a new one 3 times a year.

don't buy it. It is a good straightener no doubt but before I got my chi i had a helen of troy gold series ($30 at sallys) and it worked just as well. it damaged my hair just a little bit more but really the chi is not worth what you will pay for it... i still say go helen of troy all the way

I have one. And it straightens hair without damaging it as much. I LOVE mine.
