Best Qualites in a Straightener? Whats better to have ceramic plates or gold ones on a hair straightener(or any other types)?
Whats the widest width of plates you can get for under $150?
Chi, Sedu, or Conair?
I have very thick and very wavy hair. I currently use a Vidal Sasson Wet2Set and it doesn't work well AT ALL, even on the highest setting.
What do you all recomened and why, would be awesome.
Thanks!

i have a paul brown straightener. it works just as well as the chi and about 120 dollars. u can get it from a hair salon. but it works amazing :] ]
i deffinetly reccomend the chi. the plates aren't that wide, but trust me, it is amazing. i bought it and now it takes less time for me to straighten my hair. it's about $150 - 175 i think but it's totally worth it. there are different types of chi's but get the once that has a heat setting.
also i would recommend getting biosilk. my hair dresser recommended it, and it's supposed to be really good. =] try getting products that help with frizz control or damaged hair that way your hair will stay healthy. i use paul mitchel super strong, it works really good. ]
My bestfriend had the same issue, i told her to buy conair straightner with heat settings. i also told her for her hair type use the highest setting it works well for her. I hope i helped. ]
I have the exact same hair. My hair is really thick, coarse, and curly. So I highly recommend Conair Straighteners -- the ones with the ceramic plates. It's amazing! It straightens out my hair in minutes and it's great. I bought it for 30 dollars but I see them down to 15 in many grocery stores.
Hope I helped! =] ]
