I called my mom an assh*** and an idiot because I was upset with her and she took away my computer for the whole Saturday, she stole all of my money I'd been saving up for years and won't give it back. (It was about $130.00) and she slapped my head three times. while I was doing my duty in the bathroom. Oh yeah, and she hasn't stopped yelling at me for an hour and I can't do anything this whole weekend. Did I deserve all of this being taken away? Did she overact?
And I told her sorry but she doesn't believe me. I need to hang out with my friends! But how can I?

even though you called your mom an ass she had no right to steal from you. what she did is called theft and there is a law against it.
If your mom hit you that's called child abuse. Especially if she did this while you had your pants down on the toilet. You need to call Child Protective Services
You can forget about hanging out with your friends but you can file a police report for theft and child abuse. I hope from now on you find a safer place for you cash.
If you paid for the computer she had no right to take it away from you cause it's your personal property. If she paid for the computer she had every right.
Ask your mom to give you your money back because I assume you earned it. If she doesn't file a police report.

If she doesn't give it back it cost you $130 to learn that your mom is a thief. Never trust her again.
If she still refuses to return the stolen cash you need to tell everyone in your family, your neighbors and your moms coworkers she stole cash from you. You can even post the fact she is a thief on Craig's List in the rants and raves section. Identify your mother by first middle and last name and the area of town she lives in.
I advise you not to call your mother an asshole again but perhaps thief if she refuses to return the stolen money.

First of all, I don't like criticizing other columnists, but please don't pay too much attention to trina_boo's answer. It's sugarcoated and not true.
You shouldn't have called her that, I assume you know it. Most people's parents would react a lot more severely- grounded for at least a month. You need to write a sincere apology note and treat her a lot better, and with any luck you'll get your money back. But next time, put the money and stuff you value somewhere she won't find.
What she did is not child abuse. Child abuse is repeated physical abuse for little or no reason. She did have a reason. Honestly, I think you're lucky that you didn't get a worse punishment.

i think that she might have over reacted a little, but you did kind of deserve it. if i called my mom that i wouldn't be seeing my car or my phone or even the day of light till i was 18 (like one year) but still, maybe writing a note and really being nice and helping around the house will shorten your punishment. But since you did call her those names you need to live with the consequences, your friends will still be there after your punishment is up. (and don't try sneeking out or something stupid like that because you will get into even worse trouble than you are in now.

Because if she hit you and take all your money you been saving up and never give it back that is child abuse.also if she hit you for really no reason is child abuse. First of all, what you said was wrong. You should NEVER sware to your parents and call them an idiot because that is just plain disrespectful. Your mom brought you here, so you shouldn't be so rude.
However, what she did wasn't right either. She stole your money and slapped you. Its okay for her to say you can't do anything over the weekend but taking your hard earned money and pretty much abusing you by slapping you is completly not right. So yes, in a way, she over reacted.
if she doesn't believe you then you maybe could tell her how bad and guilty you are feeling. If you say sorry with additude then it will definatly not work. Tell her you think that taking your money and slapping you was a little too much and that you think that being grounded for the week is good enough punishment. Make sure you aren't giving her additude while saying it or she might punish you more.
