Should we move or not

Question Posted Saturday February 24 2007, 10:32 pm

Recently my parents asked me if it would be ok for us to move. The place we would be moving to is in the same state but its about 45 mins to an hour away from where i live now. Atfirst it was a deffinate no for me but then I started thinking about how it might be able to help me. lately ive been really depressed and not happy with my life and i have started to drink atleast 2 or three times a week this past week i drank every night. The reason that is holding me back from moving Is that I think I will miss my friends so much i will just get more depressed

what should i do help please!

Aw hun. u need to boost your confidence when things get down like this...especially since you are moving! When you move you make more friends, new people and better opportunities for your life. I moved and i found the best of friends and i almost moved again. But luckily didnt. Think of the glass half full! =)

Change is somethimes good. To hear about what your going threw it might help you. Make new friends do differnt things start over new. You just have to go in with a good attitude and have fun.

you should tell your parents how you feel about moving and maybe they understand what you are going through and how much your going to miss your friends so you won't feel depressed and dranking so much and damging your body.

I think it would be best if you'd move.your probably depressed because of your surroundings. so maybe you need to expand your horizons. This move will probably help you get better, and hopefully you'll stop drinking. and just think, you'll still be able to visit your friends. and there's always the phone. and you guys can probably talk on myspace if you guys have one or on another online service. it'll be hard to get use to the new move. but it'll be to your benefit once you get use to it!!

HOPE I HELPED

Sometimes it's hard to let change in but some change is good. I think this is one of those changes that are good! Hun, go for it. You gotta take some chances in your life because if you don't you might wish you had later. I think since you're depressed you need to leave it all behind you and start a new life, starting by moving.

I hope everything works out, and don't worry you'll make new friends, just be yourself! After all, how did you get the ones you have? Try to make new ones by that, but don't lose touch with your old friends.

~ Good luck, Lauren

ok, i moved last year to a totally different state and i think its a go. it sounds like you are having some problems and this move could give you a chance for a fresh start. it sounds like just what you need. it may get worse when you move before you make friends and the first week of school sucks but then i promise you'll start to make friends and you'll have so much to talk about because you are meeting each other for the first time. and there is absolutely no reason you can't spend a weekend in your old town with your old friends or they could come visit you. i think the move is a great idea. good luck
