don't understand? ok what's the difference between being on your period and ovulating? because i heard that if people do it while they are "ovulating" then it will be more of a chance to get pregnant. but if it's the same as a period.. won't blood get everywhere? basically, what is ovulating?

I just learned this in science class.
<p>
<p>
There are 4 steps to a menstral cycle.
Folicle stage
ovulation
corpus luteum
& menstration.
<p>
<p>
Ovulation is where chemicals are released into your body and causes one egg to be released from the ovary and move threw the fallopian tube.
<p>
<p>
Menstration is where if the eg is not fertilized, the corpus leuteum breaks down, and the lining of the uterus breaks down and thus, your peroid.
<p>
<p>
I would say its easier to get pregnant during ovulation then menstration. menstartion accures because the egg is not fertlized, no pregnacy.

Hope that helped. ]
Ovulating is the period of time right before your period. So you won't be on your period yet. ]
Ovulating is before you get your period, and so you have discahrge then. Being on your period (menstruation) is when the egg is dropped so there is blood. ]
ovulating is the time BEFORE your period. Like especially the day before.
its when the eggs are stuck to the walls, before the period itself flushes them out.
So what it's saying is you are more likely to get pregnant when the eggs are actually ready. LOL

P.S. if you do it while you're on your period you CANNOT get pregnant. ]
Ovulation is when a female releases an egg about two weeks before her period. Your discharge will get thinner during this time. Many OB/GYNs recommend couples wishing to get pregnant to try around this time of the month.
A period is when a female's egg is not fertilized and the uterus lining (the egg is implanted in the uterus lining if she gets pregnant) is shed. ]
