Question Posted Wednesday February 21 2007, 1:34 pm
This is my second year running track. I was in the store buying some more track shoes and I saw a young man trying them on without socks. I have never ran without socks and I wanted to know if it was a difference? Thank you for you help in advance!

fabiosparrow193 answered Wednesday February 21 2007, 2:56 pm: well if you don't wear socks while running your feet will smell AWFUL afterward. My big brother does that and his feet SMELLLLLL!! If you do it a lot your feet might start growing fungus! EWWW [ fabiosparrow193's advice column | Ask fabiosparrow193 A Question ]
looloo12 answered Wednesday February 21 2007, 2:49 pm: you might get blisters from running so long without socks because theres more friction and stuff. and your shoes will probably smell worse because the socks absorb sweat and without them the sweats just going to be absorbed by the material inside your shoe. if you want to keep your new shoes smelling good i would use socks.
