Question Posted Friday February 16 2007, 9:18 pm

What is Sparkling wine?
Personally what is your opinion about it? To you like it better compared to regular? What different about it? Is it sweeter?

Sparkling is non-alcohalic wine. I don`t like it really, makes my lungs feel funny. weird I know. The taste is good & all, just make me feel like I can't breath.
<p>
Regular wine has alcohal in it. Only like 4% though, peronally I think it tastes much better. Id pick it over sparkling anyday. Its sweeter & doesn't give me that [cant breath] feeling. You can taste a little alcohal, but its not strong.

Just by a bottle of each type and try them. Sparkling wine is great. My opinion is that it doesn t have suck an intense taste as normal wine has and it is easier to drink if you dont really like alcohol.
Sweet wine, that has more sugar, gets you easily drunk coz sugar goes straight into the brain carrying the alcohol from your drink.Thats the reason why sometimes cocktails are stronger than shots of vodka, tequila etc.

Sabine answered Friday February 16 2007, 11:58 pm:
Sorry, but it has nothing to do with having no alcohol. Sparkling wine is a term the wine industry uses because they can't call all beverages of a certain type 'champagne.' What we usually call 'champagne' in every day speech is sparkling wine. But the region in France where champagne comes from has used that name as a trademark and insisted that any wine not from Champagne cannot be marketed as 'champagne.' It's the carbonation bubbles that make it sparkling wine as opposed to just plain wine. However, some sparkling wine, if it's from Champagne, can be called 'champagne.' Now, sparkling apple cider is a substitute for champagne (actual or just sparkling wine) and has no alcohol.

Sparkling wine doesn't have alchocol in it. My mom used to give it to me couple years ago for New Years. Regular wine has alchocol. Sparkling wine is good. It's flavorful& yummy ;] but that's just my opinion on it. I like alchocol .. haha so I'd take the regular anyday.
