period problems 13/f
ok well i just recently started getting my period a few months ago...i've had like 4 or 5 so far. and whenever i get it, i constantly feel like i have to pee. that might not sound so bad but its like painful...theres like a pain in my bladder and vaginal area, ussually i have to sit in the restroom for hours for it to go away...i've even had to come home from school it's gotten so bad.
is this normal? and is there anything i can do to either make it go away faster or all together?
thanks!

i don't wanna freak you out or anything. but you could have a urinary tract infection. they can go away by themselves, or they can get worse. you could get it from being sexually active or wearing tampons or not peeing when you have to. you could drink lots of cranberry juice or take cranberry pills to cleanse your urinary tract. or you could see a doctor and get antibiotics before the situation gets any worse. hope i helped. -Angel ]
I used to get that to, maybe just not as bad.
I suggest going to your doctor,
because since I am not one,
I don't want to give you the wrong information.
But, honestly, get to a doctor as soon as possible. ]
Most people don't get this problem. It's a possibility that due to bacteria on a pad spreading, you're getting a bladder infection every month. Make sure you change it frequently. Use tampons if you are able and change them at least every 4 hours. Do not wear them overnight. Take Tylenol or Advil for pain if your parents allow. Make sure you wipe from the front to the back, never wiping from back to front as that carries bacteria into the urinary opening, which is between your vagina and your clitoris. Use each wad of toilet paper for only one swipe. Other than that, drink lots of water to help carry toxins out of your muscles and to flush out your bladder. If you feel again like you have to pee but can't, see a doctor because that's a sign of a bladder infection. If this is accompanied by back pain at the waist level, pain that travels from your back to your groin area or vice-versa, or by a fever, consult your doctor.

OMG this is soo scary, i have the exact same thing! You probably have a Urinary Tract infection. Go to your doctor and get a urine test, i have the same symtoms and i had too much protein in my urine and thats what caused the pain. The doctor will give you some medication and you will be back to normal in no time!
