You don't mention where you live, but in California, among other states, doctors cannot say anything at all to your parents about anything that they see or that you tell them without your express permission.

And no, doctors don't care.

They may ask you if you shave. Hair there is part of maturity and they may want to make sure you are developing correctly. Just tell them yes if they do,
they don't care. Since it isn't a major medical issue, they won't mention it to your mom. :)

LagunaBabe answered Friday January 26 2007, 4:27 am:
No, absolutely not. They aren't going to talk about it at all, when you go. Because that isn't their job -- their job is to look out for your health. And that's where it stops. So you definitely do not have anything to worry about.

LadyH answered Friday January 26 2007, 2:20 am:
First off, your doctor is there to check up on your health. Not to judge or discuss your grooming habits down south. Secondly, there's no reason the subject would even come up. Not only is it impolite to talk about, but it's not even a big deal whether you do or do not decide to shave that region. It's a personal choice & not the kind of information that would be shared with your mother. So don't worry!

Hey there. I really doubt the doctors would say anything to your mum (it's not really something likely to come up in polite conversation!), but even if they did, don't worry about it. Your privates - your business :)
