If it's not strep, it could just be a virus.
I have strep right now and it sounds to me like you have it to. Go to a doctor and they'll do a strep test, so you'll know what's wrong.
If it hasn't been 24 or 48 hours, the test might come back negative when you actually DO have strep.
So if it hasn't been over 24 or 48 hours, wait till tomorrow and then go.
Or you MIGHT have mono, but I'm pretty sure you have strep. Mono causes enlargement of your tonsils with white patches on their surface and swollen glands in the neck, armpits, and groin. It causes a severely sore throat and, sometimes, serious breathing difficulties. It also causes extreme fatigue that can last six weeks or more.
For right now:
Increase your liquid intake.
Warm tea with honey is a favorite home remedy.
Use a steamer or humidifier in your bedroom.
Gargle with warm salt water several times daily: 1/4 tsp. salt to 1/2 cup water.
Take over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen (Tylenol Sore Throat®, Tempra®) or ibuprofen (Motrin IB®, Advil®). ]
You should definently let your parents know. They will probably have you see a doctor. It sounds like you have strep or maybe need to get your tonsils removed. ]
okay well it sounds like your really sick and i know im not a doctor or anything but the whole sore throat and red bump thingy sounds like strep, so i think that you should go to a doctor and tell them exactly what you said on here, becuase spitting up blood can never be good. ]
Honestly, I'm not sure what is wrong, but I definitely recommend seeing a doctor. He/she will know what's wrong and help you with it. ]
I can't tell you exactly what wrong, but I know it's nothing right. You should go to your doctor to have it checked out. You may need to get medication. ]
Go ask a doctor ]
