I want to get DDR for PlayStation2 but my parents think it's stupid. I've got enough money to get all the equipement and everything but they won't let me. Is there any way I can convince them it's more than just a 'stupid arcade game'? Thanks.
BlackAngel answered Saturday January 20 2007, 4:40 pm: DDR isn't a "stupid arcade game" at all. Tell your parents that it does help you get and stay in good physical shape. You're not being exposed to crime scenes of graphic characters being killed or killing each other etc like you would be in other video games. Instead of sitting on your butt playing games all day, this game keeps you active. You learn coordination and you keep in shape. [ reallyconfused4's advice column | Ask reallyconfused4 A Question ]

So if you're not very active, this could be a chance for you to get some exercise while having fun at the same time.
Also, if this is all your money and everything, shouldn't you be able to make the decision of what you want to purchase with it? I mean, I know they'd have the right to say no if you wanted to buy a like, gun or something, but this is just a video game.
Tara66 answered Saturday January 20 2007, 3:24 pm: Tell them that its EXERCISE and it really is! You will get a work out doing it. And its not a stupid arcade game tell them that its probaley one of the best PS2 games ever made...thats what my uncle told me. Along with Wii. Good Luck :) [ Tara66's advice column | Ask Tara66 A Question ]

What is their reasoning behind not allowing you to spend your own money on it? Is this money intended for something of more importance? If so, maybe you can compromise with them. You can work to earn extra money specifically for your game. [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
