well i told my boyfriend that i have had sex before but i havent. if we do have sex, is there any way he could tell that i am still a virgin?

Yes, he'll probably be able to tell that you haven't had sex, before. Because you tend to bleed for your first time, and even sometimes after your first.
You mostly bleed because of "popping your cherry." I will give you the literal meaning for this -- it's when your hymen is broken. But you could have already broken it, not by sex being as you're still a virgin. But you can break your hymen from the simplest things, such as playing sports, inserting a tampon or even riding a bike. But keep in mind, that breaking your hymen is not the only reason for bleeding while having sex for your first time -- so it still is possible.
My advice to you is for you to tell him the truth, because if you do have any signs while you're having sex it's not going to be good having to tell him at that time. Theres really no way he can tell unless you tell him. but theres no point in lieing to him, so just tell him the truth. Some guys actually like when girls are virgin it gives them some manly feeling of some sort i guess you could say. but popping your cherry is the hymen, it'll bleed but if you do sports and work out or anything of that sort it can pop that way too. Like they said below most girls bleed their firs time, thats true but some girls bleed their first couple times of having sex just because its stretching out, so even if you bleed he cant accuse you of it because some people bleed their first couple times. hope i helped!

Sometimes girls bleed after the first time they have sex, (thats what it means when someone pops your cherry...) but there is really no way for him to know unless you tell him. Why does it matter if you are a virgin? I think you should tell him the truth, so you don't get caught lying about it later. He probably won't care that you are a virgin, just that you lied to him.

and if it hasn't been popped then it will probably bleed, but it isn't just sex that pops it, it can be stretched from sports and stuff like that.
