Question Posted Monday January 15 2007, 4:10 pm

I have a younger brother who is 13. Everytime I have food in my room such as a gift basket my friend made me with all kinds of sweets, he ends up taking a bunch of it. Sometimes it's just one or 2 pieces out of 100 so I don't say anything. Today I found a sucker wrapper and I told my mom about it because I was mad that he went into my room and took it...and it's the hundreth time. She didn't really do anything...just told him "sternly" that she didn't want him in my room. What can I do to keep him from taking my things??
I gave him a big bag of 3 musketeers for Christmas and I share with him sometimes. We have cheez its and wheat thins in the pantry so he's not starving.
my mom tries hiding food from him too and he always finds it.. and also, I want easy access to MY food and MY things.
Thanks for any help. - 16/female.

wooowwww de ja voux..that happends to me too! but im the one doing it..and its that im stealing headbands or w/e from my sister haha.

well if your little brother is stealing your stuff you can do 3 things about it:
1. you can hide your candy
hide it in a safe place. I would mainly hide and eat your candy in the KITCHEN bc bugs will eat it eventually..ew

2.make a concoxtion. if your little brother eats your food, use one trick. ITS CALLED REVERSE-PSHYCOLOGY..first you make a nastyyy concoxtion, then you put it in a container: use one marker to put to:(your name) from:(friends name) REMEMBER TO DESGUISE YOUR HANDWRITING!!then in big letters put: (brothers name)YOU BETTER NOT EAT THIS. ITS MINE!

3.lastly, get a lock for your door.& keep the key wherever you go.example: if your going to take a shower, lock your door,&& bring the key with you.

thats all i can think of
I hope i helped
MUCH LOVE,
MOlly

yes, as someone else said, hide them in a clothing drawer...particulaarly your uderwear drawer. (having once been an annoying little brother, i too snuck aroung my big sisters room, but that drawer was the only place i wouldnt venture)
also, does your dad or someone have an old toolbox, or any other box? get a cheap little padlock that only you have the key to. (and umm, hide the key well, its a game to little brothers to find the hidden key)

Keep your room locked. Haha. Ummm divide your food and hide it in random places so he won't take all at the same time.

Put it in a clothing drawer or in a drawer you know he doesn't go into. That should work. Or if you want to have a few pieces but not all at one time, put 5 or so down your shirt. He won't look there.

Hey,

Find a really good hiding spot.
Then, put a basket of "candy" out--
But replace the candy with a note that says "Better luck next time!"

Good luck,

-Jam
