I have cousins that go to college and they say that it sucks at first but then college is a blast. He says that the classes do get harder and that you have to study a lot more than you do in high school but he said that you also have time to make new friends and go to parties. he said that it is a blast and that it has been some of the best years of his life. And he goes to Princeton.
I hope that helped.=) if u want more of an answer you can email me at a_cherrymann@hotmail.com [ amanda_bear's advice column | Ask amanda_bear A Question ]

College is very different than high school. Where in high school you may have the same class every day, in college you may have it once or twice a week. This gives you a lot of time to complete assignments; also, many courses don't have as much homework as high school ones. They are more likely to have projects that last longer, or rely on exams more than coursework.
Your professors will have office hours where you can drop in to see them if you have any questions about the work. Many larger colleges and classes will also have teaching assistants to help. Colleges will also have learner support centres where you can get free tutoring if you need it.
College is generally more laid back. You get to organize your time to suit you (do you like morning classes? afernoon? etc), attend less hours a week than you do while in high school, and probably have a ton more activities to choose from. It can take awhile to settle in, but it's truly a great time. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised!

She's only like 2 hours from home, but its still a big change from her. She loves her classes and professors. Shes also made quite a few friends. Some of the classes are different than youll be used to, but i think you'll be fine adjusting. Just relax after you get there and take it easy. Try not to overwhelm yourself and get into partying. Just have fun. [ jeanine278972's advice column | Ask jeanine278972 A Question ]
