Braces?
Ok, i have braces, and i only need them for a year. I already have Natural Discoloration in my teeth, and i've noticed my teeth are getting like kind of stains on them i think from the braces, but i cant tell. I brush my teeth pretty well and use mouthwash and i brush them alot. does anyone who HAD braces know if when they take the braces off and you have stains they whiten your teeth? i'm so worried i'm gonna have stains!!!

DONT WORY i had the same problem cause i thought i saw stains when i look srround ym braces so i got really worried brushing every chance i got to, but when i got them off it was all good! they were white and all one color all the way arround each tooth.
unless you had stains before you had braces, you sound like you take good care of your teeth, keep it up and youll be fine

Yes you WILL get stains.
Use an electric tooth brush [crest is the best]

Stains are really common, once you get your braces off you can go to your dentist and get a professional whitening treatment done. Crest white stripes or crest whitening wash will work too, but it will take a little longer.

hey, i had braces, and when they took them off i had stains. it stinks, and i didn't know why cauz i did everything they told me to and brushed a lot. just brush a lot, use a floride called ACT, it helps prevent cavities. Also, i have a floride that actually whitens your teeth, i'm not sure what it's called because my parents use it, and i occasionally use it.
I might get my teeth whitened by my dentist, or use crest white strips or something. but maybe the next time you go to the orthodontist ask if they can tell if you are getting stains or not.

No, whenever you go to your orthodontist to get your braces taken off, they don't whiten your teeth. All they do is take the brackets & the glue off. If you do have stains, just go to your dentist because they'll whiten them. They'll probably tell you to use Crest Whitening Strips as well because they work really well.

Thgey do not whiten them but ask them what to use for them because they usually suggest things for stains.. mine suggested crest white strips and the the stains will fade

i had braces and they never whitened mine but i didnt have stains...it really depends on who your orthodontist is. if you have stains just ask and if not i heard crest white stips work really good. start using floride also. it helps whiten teeth while wearing braces
