Question Posted Sunday January 7 2007, 5:08 pm

I started my period for the first time on December 3, and it ended December 11. Also, i was supposed to start again on December 30, because it was 4 weeks later. However, i haven`t started yet, and it`s been a week. is it normal for 5 weeks and a day to be between my periods?
Thanks.

Yes this is deffinitely normal!!
For the first year, your period comes at all diff. times so just be ready! but then after the first year it should get normal (every 28 days)

Just dont freak out everything will be fine!

Don't worry, it's perfectly normal. Periods are always erratic for at least the first couple of years. You may not get another for six months, it may happen next week. They will settle down to a pattern, but give them time. Just make sure you always have sanitary protection at home for when it's needed and you'll be fine.

You just started, your period will be irregular for quite some time.

Unless you've had sex, are anorexic, obese, or have another medical problem, you have nothing to worry about.

usually you dont get it exactly that ammount it depends how your body functions. you just get it around the time you get it. like example. i get mine either at the very end or very beginning of the month. so 5 weeks is more likely to be happening than 4. very nomal.=]
