One or two zits: not a problem. We all get them. It's nothing to freak out about, and if you go to great lengths to cover it up it generally just makes it more obvious that there's something to cover.
However, if you're talking about a major outbreak of acne across half your face, then it is going to (unfortunately) hurt the first impression you give. Yes, it's shallow of guys to judge a girl based on something so unimportant, but it happens and there's no point in denying it. If you stop and think about it, everything that defines attractiveness across gender lines - bright eyes, athletic build, and clear skin - it's all about how healthy a person looks, and severe acne just looks unhealthy. We humans have an instinct to seek out healthy mates, and so we what we find attractive has a lot to do with that.
So, if you have severe acne that's really obvious and never goes away, then the truth of the matter is that you'll have a hard time attracting guys. If that is the case, a dermatologist should be able to help.

well i'm a girl but here is my opinion on this. like others have already said, acne isn't a turn on, but its not horrible. If somebody really likes you then they will see past the acne. plus everybody gets zits every once and a while, so little zits are hardly noticable.
plus remember, guys get zits too, so its not just girls. so think of it this way. is it a turn off for you if a guy has acne?

I wanted to be delicate when answering this, to me personally, its not appealing, especially when she tries to cover it up, with make-up..I think it looks worse than...ya-know some people were blessed with great skin...some of "us" have to work extra hard at it, but if it was someone close to me, ya-know that I liked very much, or even loved, you see right passed that, because its whats "inside " that counts, not on the surface... Hope this helps a little...

Im not a guy. But, if you want me to be completely honest - yes, acne is a turn off. Not a HUGE one but it definitely isnt a turn on. Guys understand everyone gets acne though and most of the time, the guy doesnt even notice little spots we get upset about when we stand 2 inches away from the mirror. Plus, just because you have acne, doesnt mean youre not pretty. Also, if a guy doesnt like you just because you have acne, hes NOT WORTH IT. Because everyone gets a zit once in awhile!
