ignore it, im sure shes just upset. my dad does that alot. but i know he loves me. i call him an asshole when im mad at him! rofl. i still love him. its just stress.. maybe stay away from your mom when shes acting like that. talk to a friend about it. and when your mom isnt in that mood try and talk to her about it. ask her why she calls you names. tell her it upsets you. let her know.

All you can really do is tell her you dont like it when she does that, you could also try to ignore it, i think all moms go through that with their kids..

I think all moms are the same at one point an another. i went threw this with my mom [she was in her PMS days] i got the whole skank, slut, whore. [which im not/far from it] but i blew it off. laugh at it. learn to laugh at all life throws you. be strong; dont let her see it gets to you[if it is getting to you] she will see she is beeing rude for her age. and grow up like we all do!
[but seriously LAUGH YOUR BUTT OFF, at every thing. if you feeling like crying laugh, if you feel mad laugh, look in the mirror and laugh. it lifts your spirts and can get you there anything, any hard time.]

Calling you names like in a bad way or an embaressing way>?
If it's an embarassing nickname like honey buns (I don't know..just came to my mind the first thing) Then tell her that you're a little too old for those nick names and you prefer to be called by your real name.
If it's bad/abusive kinda of way...yes that is a form of abuse..mental/emotional/verbal abuse. Tell your mom that you don't appriciate being treated like that and talk to your counslor about it.
