Having sex will not affect your period. Things such as lots of worry or anxiety will, though, so if you're stressing about a possibile pregnancy then it's conceivable your period could be late because of this.

As far as pregnancy and peeing goes, you wouldn't be noticing this very early on. One thing this IS a sign of is a bladder infection.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'fake pregnancy.' I do know that many girls have been so worried about being pregnant, they feel that every little twinge, bloat, or bump is a sign they're pregnant. In fact, many symptoms of pregnancy are also signs of PMS.

Painful pee, again, is a sign that something isn't right - and it's not a pregnancy. It could be a bladder infection among other things. Sex can push bacteria up your urethra, causing an infection. It's easily treatable, but you will need to see a doctor.

It's best to see a doctor to get a correct diagnosis and treatment - and also speak to them about getting a referral to a gyno. You'll nee to see one now that you're sexually active, and he/she will be able to inform you about your birth control options. If your period is really late, you'll also be able to be tested for pregnancy and explore your options. It's best to do this as quickly as possible.

Best of luck.

Please ask four separate questions next time!!

1) Not just from sex alone. If you are stressed or your diet cahnges, your period could be delayed or missing, but from intercourse alone, no.

2) Every body is different. I'm guessing oncce you start to show, but my guess is as good as a monkey's. peeing every half hour could be a number of other things.

3) Until you have your period. Emergency contraceptive in the first 72 hours wil make you have your period.

4) Again, it could be a number of other things, a yeast infection or a UTI among them.

I'd recommend a visit to a gyno fter taking two home pregnancy tests.

I hate when people use one question to ask four different ones, but I'll answer some of these.

Having sex doesn't affect your menstrual cycle, but stress certainly can, so if you're stressed about the fact that you had sex that's the only thing that'll make you miss a period. It's not a biological thing. If you think you're pregnant you should take a pregnancy test. That's the only way to tell... you can't tell by how often you have to pee, how you "feel", or what anyone on the internet tells you.

BrokenWings answered Monday January 1 2007, 1:25 pm:
1) no
2) usually very far, like at least 7 months
3) Dont know, sorry
4) If you feel funny when you pee and you need to pee really often you probably have an UTI - Urinary tract infection, if you have had sex recently this is probably the reason although it is very possible to get them other ways. You need to go to see a doctor if you need to pee often and it hurts or burns because this can lead to a kidney infection and ive had one of those and they are very very very painfull

Hope its all good hun xxxx

1. No
2. Bladder problems occur in most, but not all women, and generally begin at the start of the second trimester and last until birth (so they typically start the 4th month of pregnancy).
3. I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean you think you might be pregnant because you exhibit certain signs, they're probably just the paranoia of your mind and will go away within a week or two. You can't stop a pregnancy without having an abortion, and you can't stop the signs of pregnancy because you can't alter the natural hormonal functions of your body.
4. No. However, that is a sign you may have an STD. Even if you don't see specific bumps or think "What? I can't have an STD", go to your local Planned Parenthood. It may sound dumb but they'll test you for STDS for FREE! You'll feel a lot less nervous afterwards.

Also, Planned Parenthood makes birth control easy. Get two forms of birth control (condom and pill usually work the best) to ensure that you can enjoy your sex, rather than worry about pregnancy. The first time you have sex you might be nervous about getting pregnant, but don't worry about it. I'm sure your fine. Happy 2007!
