Everyone has a different opinion about disease, the effectiveness of condoms as birth control, etc.
Condoms are your best defense against disease. [Did you know that if a person has a cold sore on their mouth (which is really called "herpes simplex") and they touch it, and then they touch their genital area (or someone else's), they can get (or give that person) genital herpes?]
Condoms aren't the best for birth conrol, however. Your best bet is another form of birth control AND a condom.
And if you're ready for sex, you're ready for the responsibility. The easiest thing for you to do is to go to Planned Parenthood. They will answer all your questions and fix you up with the right kind of birth control for YOU.
P.S. In my experience, a lot of guys will try to get out of using condoms at the last minute. I don't think this will happen to you, but you should be aware of it, and be ready to say, "no."

xXxPorschexXx answered Thursday December 28 2006, 10:10 pm: There is no such thing as safe sex. but him still being a virgin doesnt mean he may not carry deseases, he may have a deseases such as those passed ginetically. Always use protection but if you are serious about this then you may want to see a doctor or nurse for other forms of birth control. Talk about it first but good luck and i hope this has helped. iloveaar answered Thursday December 28 2006, 5:02 pm: doble condom its the WORSE thing you can do ...condoms are only 70% safe, obviously the pill its better it has 97 to 98% of not getting pregnant of course that's what the stadistics show
thelaura answered Thursday December 28 2006, 4:29 pm: Do not listen to the first person who answered your question. You should NEVER wear 2 condoms at once.
In answer to your question, yes it is possible even if he is still a virgin.
Play it safe. Use protection.
There is a 2-6% chance condoms will slip off or break during sex. Hopefully it won't happen to you..
You should also be thinking about another method of birth control if you don't want to risk it. :) [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
runawayxlove answered Thursday December 28 2006, 3:56 pm: hey, well theres always a chance that he carries a disease that runs in the family. also condoms are never 100% safe. theres always that chance that the condom can break. there is no safe sex. the only way to have safe sex is to not have sex at all. if your really serious about wanting to have sex you should both get checked for diseases. also ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wear a condom. good luck =].
