PunkieFreak4690 answered Monday December 18 2006, 8:08 pm: I am a big procrastinator, myself. What effectively helps me are these tips:
*Set up the essay as 1.5 or double-spaced between the lines. This is not only helpful to you, but helpful to the teacher when he/she reads it.
*Summarize but put it in specifics. If I only knew that (example) Maya Angelou was a Civil Rights Activist, I would ramble on, saying how she supported black women, and giving them rights, etc..
*Describe the main problems that occured in the story; not the small insignificant details. Doing this will make the essay go faster, and putting in bigger parts of a story can fill the paper up pretty fast.
* Use a header and footer settings (like put in the page number, the date, your name, teacher, etc). Doing this already takes out a few lines. And even after using this plus title and spaced out lines still makes the essay longer than it actually is.
LM answered Monday December 18 2006, 7:54 pm: Well, there's always the "stop procrastinating and actually DO it!" route. That's always effective.
Make the line spacing 1.5 or Double, margins 1.25" on all edges instead of 1".
Georgia is a slighty bigger font, I believe. You can sometimes get away with making Times New Roman size 13 too.
Like I said, just focus on the task at hand and you'll actually be able to get the project done WITHOUT bending the requirements. [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
