Question Posted Tuesday December 5 2006, 11:43 pm

ok i've been working at my job for 2 months.

all the girls (four of them) and my boss are extremely nice.

we are going to go out to dinner around christmas time, and we're calling it a xmas party.

so am i supposed to get them something? i dont know them that well because i'm new and we see each other around two times a month.

so if i am supposed to get them something, what would be appropriate?

note: i dont know if theyre giving gifts

any ideas would be appreciated. oh ya dont say gift cards

I doubt they are exchanging gifts, but gently feel them out about it if you aren't sure.

I think the nicest thing to do for co-workers is give them a nice personal cards, and maybe bake some christmas treats for you to share on the last day or work such. No one expects a fifteen year old to shell out big bucks for co-workers, so if they are getting gifts, maybe an inexpenisve pair of earings for each of them.

Well...i think you're supposed to. Maybe you can get them like cute mugs (cups) with little teddies in them. Also...you can probably get a cut little bag or something and put candies in them with a little token. A token like a body creams and shampoos (mini ones) and stuff llike that

heyy(: hmm that's a tough one. My suggestion would be you should try to cal your boss and find out if you are supposed to or not. If yes, you could get them gift certificates to some restaurants or stores they might like, in a nice card. Not too over the edge, ya know?

you should ask your boss if everyones trading gifts, or speak with your coworkers and ask them if they're doing a gift swap, and ask them whats the most and least supposed to be spent on the gift, or the price range. this way you wont be left out, and you know whats going on.
if they are having a christmas swap, then i would suggest you get them something in the price range at bath and body works, they have nice anti-bacterial lotions and pre made gift sets that are sort of expensive, but the hand lotions and candles are about $10-15, so it's ok.
hope i helped
xo
