Shaving

Question Posted Sunday December 3 2006, 11:47 am

Ok so I'm young, and naive. How do women usually get rid of their hair down there? It seems like waxing would hurt.

there are many different ways to shave.

you can buy products, like Nair & Veet.
you can wax (like you said, it does hurt)
or you can shave it with a razor, which is tricky & in ways annoying.
It's annoying because it grows back very quickly & sometimes itches when it grows.
You sometimes get razor burns/rashes, that leave little red bumps all over your area.

if you start shaving, you have to continue shaving, just like with you legs.

The best thing about be shaving.
You usually get razor burn so after you get out of the shower put on lotion where you shaved.

yeah, you can either shave, wax, or use like nair, but sometimes nair irritates your skin, and waxing might hurt, so i suggest shaving. if your skin does get irritated ever, use like a moisturizer and it'll feel better, and after doing it a few times, your skin will get used to it and feel better.

You could use Nair Bikini Cream. It would take the hair off, and you wouldn't have the risk of cutting yourself with a razor. Still, if you leave Nair on too long, you run the risk of burning yourself. Also, you need to remember that if a chemical is powerful enough to burn your hair off of your body, its powerful enough to do damage to your skin. As long as you clean it off when the box tells you, though, and you clean it off really well, it won't harm you. Just test it first on a small area of your skin (as opposed to spreading all over) to make sure you aren't allergic. Hope I helped! =]

Well a lot of women do it by waxing, and I've never done it, but my friend has, & she's done it AT HOME, not at like a salon or anything - so she told me it doesn't hurt & it works awesome.

Other then that, the only thing to do is shave - using shaving cream, a brand new razor, & moisturizer. If you have a lot of hair down there you should probably trim beforehand with like scissors so it's easier to shave off. After that, put on shaving cream and shave in the opposite direction the hair is going. You'll know when you shave whether or not it's the right direction because you'll be able to feel yourself shaving in a way.

After you're done shaving, then you should moisturize it, because it'll help with the drying out thing. Just as if you'd moisturize your legs after shaving them!

:]
