I'm sorry but i swear this will be the LAST question envolving sins! What about the catholics who likes watching scary movies that have gore and blood? Wouldnt that be envolving one of the sins?
snickerzz11 answered Friday December 1 2006, 9:26 pm: i think that watching movies like that isn't really a sin, but some people say that God doesn't want us to see things that fill our hearts with hate. that could be true, depending on what you beleive, but i think that if you just see the movie for what it is, a form of entertainment (albeit a kinda gross form of entertainment) then you aren't really sinning. I don`t think watching those kinds of movies are a sin unless you actually want to go out and kill ppl, ect lol. But asking for your forgiveness of sins in a prayer, or maybe in your case, going to a confessional - all your sins will be forgiven. (: Hope this helps. ♥ [ xostarbrightbaby's advice column | Ask xostarbrightbaby A Question ]

theymos answered Friday December 1 2006, 6:56 pm: If you're referring to the seven deadly sins, watching a scary movie could include:
-lust(any time you try to have fun, you commit lust)
-sloth(any time you're not worshiping the lord, you commit sloth)
With the ten commandments, I don't see any problem. It doesn't say "you shall not think about or see murder" it says "YOU shall not murder". Of course, it also says not to make idols, yet churches are full of pictures(idols) of jesus. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
