hey i had the same dilemma....try to find a babysitting course that is being held at a local red cross or your local hospital or somehwere else nearby you. you don't need paperwork but i think it would be reassuring to the parents of the kids you might babysit for in the future if you are a certified babysitter.
basically in the classes you just learn how to do CPR and good tips for entertaining the kids and how to be a good babysitter. well....i learned that.
put an ad in the newspaper....and if you take a class put in the ad that you are certified. tell what ages of children you are willing to care fore (preschool age to middle school maybe depending on how old you are is pretty good to start with) and your nubmer and name.
good luck, and leave me a note in my inbox if you need more help!

well if you would like some experience then ask someone who has either went to babysitting training or has babysat alot. if there are no kids in your area then type a papagraph on how you would be a good babysitter etc. write you # at the bottom going horizontal and cut little slits nex to each one of them that way ppl can just rip your # off and put it in their purse or wallet. ask oyur mom or one of her friends who works at a busy work or not. they can tak it up on the buliton board and ppl will pass by and see it. good luck!!

i got started babysitting at 13, and no you don't need any paperwork.
i got my job through one of my mom's friends. you should ask your mom if she has any friends who need babysitters, and if they hear your up fot the job, your mom's friends will most likely spread the word. if that doesn't work, then put up fliers. i put up fliers, but the response wasnt too good.
heres what the flier should say:
Babysitting opportunities!!
mature, responsible, reliant (age here) year old girl seeking babysitting opportunities in the neighborhood. if interested, please call (111) 111-1111
(you should put in mail boxes and billboards)
hope i helped.

No, I don't think you'd need any type of paper work. Just your resume (CV) I'd say. And they should be able to see you are responsible from that.

You could let your friends and their parents know that you are looking for work as a babysitter and they can spread the word around for you. Another really good way to get noticed is putting an ad in your local paper. A lot of parents go first of all to the newspaper to look for a babysitter. And once you get a job then they will reccommend you to others. Even putting up a sign on a community noticeboard with your phone number at a local shopping centre would be good. Everyone will see that because everyone has to shop, right?!

Hope this helps!
Good luck with the babysitting! :]

well there isnt anything required that you need for babysitting. but a lot of parents when you have a basic knowledge of first aid and cpr and stuff. at my school they had a short class that you could sign up for that was like 2 days long or something that taught you the basics of babysitting and what to do in an emergency and all that jazz. and you get a certifticate.

now for actually getting jobs. in my town and the surrounding areas theres this thing call the "mom's club" and its basically a lot of stay at home moms who every so often get together with out without their kids. but i just gave my name to a few of them and then my name kinda just got spread around.

soo i would suggest looking for something like that
