If protein isnt turned into muscle or in your case burned its going to turn into fat and I dont think 30 minutes a day is going to do it. My advice change your diet to fruit and a little bit of protein. And for your exercise you should run to burn it and for that flat tummy you want you need to work on abs thats the only way that you can get one. Good luck and if you have anymore questions dont hesitate to ask [ masterclinic's advice column | Ask masterclinic A Question ]

Usually scrunches or sit ups is what works. At 13 you still need complex carbohydrates for energy so be sure to add pasta, rice, whole grains, along with fruits and veggies to your diet. HypnotizexMe answered Thursday November 16 2006, 11:11 pm: meat and fish are ofcourse needed for us. But eating meat every single day isnt healthy. First of all Oil is not good for you, and remember. Meat DOES have a lot of calories. Try eating more of veges or fruits. meat is important but eating it everyday is just going to make you unhealthy and trust me. it will not make you have the flat tummy. Meat is full of fat, so i advice not to. i hope you get a flat stomach :] good luck. [ HypnotizexMe's advice column | Ask HypnotizexMe A Question ]
beenthere1 answered Thursday November 16 2006, 3:39 pm: Maybe, but you won't be healthy. If you're willing to exercise, why not do a low fat diet, with plenty of vegetables and healthy starches, like brown rice and whole wheat pasta? Just eat healthy, keep an eye on the calories, and watch the pounds melt away. Not only will you look better, but you'll feel better to! [ beenthere1's advice column | Ask beenthere1 A Question ]
Imperialistic answered Thursday November 16 2006, 2:26 am: If anything, I would suggest cutting out meat. Keep a healthy balance of all four food groups and eat by portions.
I'm not sure about the timeline, I recommend asking MikeCFT. [ Imperialistic's advice column | Ask Imperialistic A Question ]
ductape_n_roses answered Wednesday November 15 2006, 11:49 pm: So basically you're asking if you go on an all meat diet, will it help you lose weight with the combination of exercise?
I'm not sure but what you're suggesting isn't very healthy and from what I know, not very helpful--at all. Trying to lose a vast amount of weight in a little period of time is very unhealthy and you should only lose up to 2-4lbs every week. Also, your body normally takes up to 30min to burn the carbs in your body that is keeping you fueled up. Then slowly, it wills tart to use up its stored fat.
What I suggest doing is:
Eat a healthy normal meal everyday. Don't skip a meal because that will just slow down your metabolism. Eat 3 meals a day and 2 small snacks in between. Stay away from saturated fat (bacon, butter, etc), junk food, sodas (diet or not), peanut butter, mayo, etc. Try to drink water instead of any other drinks (including the flavored water). Eat only an average amount of proportion and don't gobble it down and don't reach for seconds. EAT VEGGIES It's vital for you to actually go and digest -lol- For snacks, eat veggies or fruits and please stay away from buttercream ranch and such. Try low fat ranch or something like that. The snacks will help you drive away your cravings at meals to overeat.
As for tehe exercising, I suggest you do at least 45min-60min every other day or if you want, everyday including the weekends. Warm up by stretching for at least 10min, slowly start jogging and increase your speed gradually (over few days) and run continuously for at least 30min. Then do push ups, curl ups (at least 30 everyday...increase the amount over several days), and then stretch again so you don't get pain in the morning. Try to stay active and don't just sit on the couch and watch TV or linger in front of the cpu all day long.
