I know of 3 things that help me when I hurt :
(1). A heating pad (the one that plugs into the wall). I take that, and plug it in somewhere and put in on the bodypart that hurts the most. Cuddle up with that and a movie for a while, and it helps.
(2). A moble heating pad. You can buy them at most stores. Its a pad that has hot "pockets" in it. They make them for backs, stomachs, legs.. anything really. Fine one and you can wear it all day.
(3). If you dont have a plug in the wall heating pad, this will work. Take a 2 liter soda bottle. (make sure its empty) and fill with REALLY hot water. Close the cap so that is doesn't leak, and wrap it in a towl (so it doesnt hurt you, because of the heat). Lay the bottle anywhere on your body that hurts, and you have a home-made heating pad

You can always try taking other pain-reducer medication. Good luck and I hope something helps you. [ disasterxwoah's advice column | Ask disasterxwoah A Question ]
epicadvice answered Saturday November 11 2006, 9:45 pm: Try taking some advil. Advil relieves all kinds of pain. Heating pads work great. If you have one, put it on your stomach or back and lay down. Also, walking and getting some excersize helps with cramps. Or you could go out and get your nails done or go shopping, that always makes me feel better! I hope you feel better soon <3 [ epicadvice's advice column | Ask epicadvice A Question ]

He or she may be able to perscribe something to you that will work much better than anything you can get over the counter or would have thought of yourself. Being in that much discomfort can affect your life. You don't want to have to be going through that every month. For the time being, try a different kind of medication. Be careful that you read the bottle and make sure that it's not going to react negatively with any meds you've already taken. Other than the meds, see if you can find some calcium supplements. I know Wal-Mart sells them, so if you have a Wal-Mart in your area that would be a good place to look first. I've tried Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews for Women. They have them in chocolate flavor. They taste really good. It is believed that symptoms you experience when you have your period are partly due to a lack of calcium. These chews might help you out and they might not. It's worth trying though. Good luck. :) [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
LM answered Saturday November 11 2006, 2:08 pm: I usually take Motrin or Tylenol.. try a couple different things (but not at the same time!)
Heating pads also help, and doing something to keep your mind off the cramps helps too.. read, go for a bike ride (any mild exercise, even walking, can help)
Psalmgal126 answered Saturday November 11 2006, 1:31 pm: I know it hurts doesn't it.What about you take a bendadrill or something else. You probably grew imunity to the Midol.Oh if you have a heating pad lay down and and put it on your back that kinda makes the go away alittle.
Hope this helps
sassysara answered Saturday November 11 2006, 10:05 am: Every woman is different as to what works best for them, for me advil tends to work better then anything else. Also put a heating pad on your stomach and take a hot bath all of these work wonders. Also when I have really bad cramps I take over the counter muslce relaxants, like robaxacet they allow the cramping muscles to relax. Also your legs hurting is normal the same treatment for the other cramps/pain.
