MelLeDisko answered Tuesday October 31 2006, 8:56 pm: Every person has a certain weight and a certain body type. Some people always try to lose weight, and they find they can't, and it's because that's just their body type and how much it weighs. Like me ; I can never seem to go higher than 111 lbs. I mean, I don't WANT to go higher than that, but I eat junk food constantly, and it's only because I have such a fast metabolism, I can shed pounds quickly, so I'm usually always weighing 111 lbs, it's just the way my body is. Also, if you're playing all those sports in school, you're probably developing some pretty good muscles, which'll add some weight onto you.
Also, you say you're swamped with school work and have a huge paper that you have to work on, this which I'm sure is giving you major stress, right? This also effects your weight. If you have a high metabolism usually, stress can slow it down, which means it takes longer to break down your food, and it may cause you to gain weight. Also, if you're stressed you may be eating some more than you usually do. Stress just, in many ways can make people gain some weight.
Just try to become more organized with your paper work and everything and give yourself a break to eat healthy foods, and work on your school work, and then give yourself another break to maybe exercise at home. Do some crunches, run up and down the stairs a couple of times, jog in place, whatever you want to do, and then go back to the paper. If you're just more organized, you'll be less stressed for one, which is good for your weight then, and just for you.
With sports, it's okay to gain weight. All athletic girls gain weight, and you shouldn't feel ugly. Just think ; in 20 years whenever all the lazy procrastinators who eat at McDonalds all the time are getting heart attacks and weigh 5903 lbs, you're going to have a very fit, healthy body just like you should have.
guitarplayer3210 answered Tuesday October 31 2006, 5:12 pm: weight varies on person and there is no ideal weight most everyone would like to lose a pound or two because of s but this is not the only look and many guys don't like this look
Weight and BMI is good to go by BUT they do not take account for body type or muscle mass
Through out the scale and go on how you look and don't be as harsh on your self, little is not always the best. [ guitarplayer3210's advice column | Ask guitarplayer3210 A Question ]
NinjaNeer answered Tuesday October 31 2006, 9:37 am: If you're playing a lot of sports, then the weight you're gaining is probably muscle. That means you shouldn't be losing it!
I did karate for 7 years, and I could never get my weight below 180 pounds, no matter how hard I tried... then I talked to my doctor and he said that that was because I was building a lot of muscle mass instead of fat. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
