it`s definitely normal for someone to go alone to homecoming. you get to dance with all the ladies, you know. haha. and people usually have a blast hanging out with their friends. guys usually wear something like a tuxedo without the overcoat. something semi-formal. you know. :] i might add .. hope you have fun at your homecoming! haha. i hope i helped. -Niks.

yeah its totally normal to go alone. actually i know a lot of people that do. as long as you hang out with your friends and stuff you will have a blast. going alone also has its positive sign - you can dance with ANYONE you want, with out whoever your going with getting pissed at you and ruining the night.

i almost forgot, about the kahki pants and a button up shirt, thats a little casual you might want to be a little more formal. ask what your friends are wearing to see how formal they are. if its a nice button up shirt maybe, but khaki pants, ehh im not sure.

I've been to about a hundred homecoming dances, as a photographer. It's perfectly normal to go without a date. It happens all the time.

However, it's very, very unusual to go completely alone. Those without dates are generally with a group of friends, or at least one friend. On the very rare occasions that I saw someone completely by himself/herself, that person was having a lousy time and would probably have been better off staying home. Harsh, but true.

Attire varies, but one generally dresses up a bit. It's not as formal as the Prom, but the guys usually wear jackets and/or ties, and the girls are in party dresses for the most part. Sometimes I'll see dresses that obviously cost over $300 and guys wearing tuxedos, but I think that's over the limit for a homecoming.

Speaking as a photographer, I have the following advice: get your pictures done early. Then you can dance, have fun, and not worrry about wrecking your hair or your outfit. Also, the lines are shorter at the start of the evening.

My friend is sort of like you, in a sense. She doesn't really want to go alone and she'll really only go if she has a date. And I keep explaining to her ( just like I am to you ) that it is perfectly normal going to homecoming alone! I mean, I'm doing it this year! I mean, you can have just as much fun hanging around with your friends, then some date! And plus, it's a great dance to go too, and a great memory to remember for the rest of this year.

Girls - wear a pretty nice dress, but not one of those ones you'd wear to prom where they cost alot of money and whatnot.

Guys - buttondown shirt and a nice pair of black pants and some nice shoes, usually. some even wear ties and maybe a jacket too.

I hope I helped.

Awe lmao.
Yeah, it's perfectly normal for a person to go to HC alone. A lot of people I know are doing that. =] As long as you go in a group of friends, you'll have just as much fun, trust me!!

As for the attire, for girls, it's expected to wear a nice dress. Boys usually wear like slacks and a buttoned shirt. It's more like semi-formal.

Hope you have a great time at the dance!!
