I need to know how to do my backhandspring!! my cheerleading coach said that she is not helping my kick my legs back! but shes says that i need to arch my back more!! she said that if i did then i could do it all by myself!! But i need to arch my back more? cn sumone help me!??! please!!
Then, try going into a back bend and kicking your legs over, and then try to kick them over faster and faster each time and so you can land properly.
Then, maybe even try just doing it really quick by yourself. Make sure your friend or someone is there to help you though if you think you're going to tip over so they can catch you. Or they can also help you out at first and spot you.
It'll take some time, but you should be able to get it soon if you practice it and stretch enough.

It's so weird that you are having this problem because I was recently in the same situation. I actually just went to gymnastics today to improve on it.
First off, you need to be confident in it. A backhandspring is 90% mental, 10% physical. Once you KNOW how to do it and you aren't afraid to, then you should have no trouble.
I suggest to stare directly ahead of you. When you sit, keep your back straight and your hips should be the only thing moving backwards... nothing else! Then when you feel like you are going to fall backward, JUMP! Really reach for the back wall. Your arch will come naturally if you jump hard and fast and if you really extend your arms and reach.
A WORD OF CAUTION: When you are in the middle of doing it, never stop, or else you'll fall on your head. So don't stop for anything, chances are you'll make it over but maybe just on your knees. If you don't jump, your backhandspring will be low to the ground and have a lot of force on your wrists and that hurts!
Oh and when you sit back, don't throw yourself over. Wait until your arms swing right next to your ears before you jump. That'll really help your arch.
Hope I was helpful.
Sorry the response was very long,
but I had a lot of experience.

stretch your back
do back bends atleast 4 times a day
Get your back to be flexiable.
lay on the floor belly up and put your arms up and put your legs down adn reach. hold this pose for atleast 30 seconds.
Most important. Dont get nervous before you do your back handspring. Think about swinging your arms and pretending to sit in a chair beforer you go down. This should help. Maybe if it doesn't you could ask your parents to get you tumbling lessons. they always help =]
