Question Posted Wednesday September 20 2006, 12:55 am

I met a girl at a party this weekend and ever since, we've talked for hours every day. I know she really likes me, and I'm starting to feel the same about her. She seems like she's the kind of person who dates for fun, though..and doesn't take it seriously. I'm all about having fun, but that's not all dating is, and I'm afraid she might think it is. I'm afraid she'll drop me quickly because she seems like she gets bored easily.

Any advice? Thx.
16/m

I had that same problem with my last g/f she was really nice but she got bored with you and moved on to someone else, so i'm suggesting you go around asking some of her friends if she's one of does girl, but girls will break your heart, that's the way they are. well good luck.

Well, you have to keep in mind that us girls.
Well, we're heartbreakers.

You have to explain to her how you feel about relationships and your views. let her know that you're sensitive about that kind of stuff.
A lot of girls are attracted to that.
&Don't let her get bored...keep her interested with surprise dates, poems, just sweet or randomt things that will keep her intruiged.

I say give it a shot. You never know what's going to happen she might like you more than you think. She might like you enough to start becoming more serious whenever it comes to relationships. So just talk to her about it and take a shot, but take it slow. If you start to realize in the beginning of the relationship she's getting easily bored and whatnot, you can always end it and you won't be so emotionally attached since it's just starting out. And you'd at least know then she's not girl-friend material and the one for you. I hope I helped.

Well, first of all, since she really likes you, you should go ahead and tell her that you like her. Then, after talking a bit, if the conversation goes to 'dating', then you should tell her that you take it a bit more seriously than you think she does [you might want to put it in different words]. Usually, if a guy tells a girl that he likes her and she likes him, she'll go out with him ANY TIME! so, I think you have a 99.9% chance with her.
If you like her now, I say you just go out with her and enjoy the time you have with her. If she dumps you because she gets bored, than she's not the one for you.

Goodluck.

Ok. I think you should date her if thats what she wants but take it slowly. Don't get your heart set on a relationship with her too quickly. Taking it slowly will also mean your heart won't be broken too easily. Bear in mind you are only 16 and have the rest of your life to find the perfect girl.
Good luck
