anyway at lunch she was sitting by herself and then i asked her to sit with my friends. when she left my friends told me not to hang out with her cause they think/know she is a bitch.
but i don't want to be mean and stop talking to her.

Who is going to be? Her or your buddies? Tough question huh?

If you like this girl, don't put your chin down, chin up man! (Not to be antigender)

Tell your friend she isn't a bitch and let them get to know her.

If they disagree with you, tell them give her a chance and give them a deal because you don't want to hurt her feelings.

Talk to her anyway. When a new girl came to my school, I didn't care what my friends said about her I wasn't going to be shallow and leave her in the dark. You do what you feel is right. Much luck, juciyfruitluvr4ever

I know you're friends are concerned for you like a good friend would, but your friend really can't tell you who or who not to hang out with. If you have a good instincts about this girl, then you should follow them. If she wasn't a bitch to you at lunch, then I'm sure she's not going to be a bitch later.

Just talk to your friends about it and let them know you appreciate the concern, but you think she's a pretty cool person and she needs somewhere to sit at lunch ; she can't sit alone. And I'm sure if they gave her another chance they'd see she's a really cool person, but if they still don't like her, then she can just sit next to you at the end and they don't HAVE to talk to her ; every now and then you can just turn and talk to her and balance the conversations between people. And if some of your friends stop talking to you or get mad, then they're not real good friends.

I hope I helped.

You follow your own instincts and don't listen to the crowd.

Did you think she was a bitch when she ate lunch with you? Probably not or you would have mentioned it.

She is probably a very nice girl who needs some friends. Sounds like yours might be just a little jealous or not want anyone new in the gang.

Don't be mean just because they are. If you want to hang out with her I'll bet at least some if not all your friends will wind up hanging around with you after a couple of days. No need to be rude to them either. Just say well, you guys don't like her but I do. So I will be her friend. :)
