I like this guy named James. i have heard from everybody that he likes me. and then everyone knows that i like him and also ppl keep saying that he is going to ask me to be his gf. and then today he finaly asked me. and i said yes. and then now this other cute guy that is new came to my school today/ he is a major hottie! but im still thinking of wether i should stay with james or go with the new kid Jake. everone and all of my friends think that i should stay with with James. im not sure who to choose. should i stay with james sinse he already asked me to be his gf and use jake as a back up?

I'm sorry but to use a guy as back-up is way rude...If you really like James stay with him because you WANT to and forget about Jake because you probobly don't even know him...like you said he's new and a major hottie...I don't want to be mean but Jake probobly doesn't even like you, like if he';s that hott than he's probobly got loads of other girls going for him...he has lots to choose from...the odds of him choosing you...not too big...so follow your heart and do whatever you want but you asked for advice and I'm telling you to stay with James...good luck with all this by the way...

dating isnt all about looks. I think that you should stay with James and get to know Jake too. Since he's new offer to show him around or offer help with homework etc. then you can get to know him without leaving james. cause what happens when you leave james and jake doesnt accept you or turns out to be a jerk? give james a chance you never know what can happen. he may be a great guy that you are just going to let go of. and also you commited to james and if you jsut ditch him now then you may be losing a great friend and a great bf. i think you should give it some time. if jake gets a girlfriend right away thats okay. As long as you arent embarrased by james then you should keep dating him. good luck!!

You should stay with James, hello you both like eachother. But don't use Jake as a back up! First thing is that usually hott guys are jerks because they know they're hott and know they can get anyone they want. Second do you really want to dump James who you like, and he likes you back, to go out with a new guy you don't know anything about and crush James? Third it's never good to use someone as a back up. When people say 'back up' to me it sounds like they're not sure about the current relationship their in (which you don't sound like), or they just want to have a bf/gf for all the wrong reasons. So stay with James and if it doesn't work out between you two in the future spend a little time with Jake (if he's single) become friends, see if you still feel the same way about him when you learn some things about him, and maybe later on you'll be gf and bf.

I advise you to stay with James. You don't know for sure if the new hottie likes you or not so it would be upsetting to leave James and the other guy end up not liking you. So stay with James and if things don't work out, talk to the new guy more and be flirty. Good luck and blessed be.
