a friend of mine recently quit the smoking habit although he still is a heavy drinker, and the wierd part is that his girl left him because of he quit the smoking habit. So my question is,do girls get turned on by smokers or off?and do girls mind if their guys are drinkers? and finally, what should I say to my friend's girl?cause we all are pretty good friends and I wish I could help mend their relationship.thanks

Hey. I guess it depends on the girl. Some girls ( usually teenagers or smokers themselves) could get turned on by smoking I guess but most people I know wouldnt. Same thing goes for drinking. As for trying to mend their relationsip- I would just talk to the girl and explain that he did this for health reasons. If she still does not agree then I wouldn't interfere anymore. Relationships take time and if they are meant to be then it will find a way. Plus this guy probably wants a girl that respects him for who he is.. not for what he does. Good luck ♥ Kelli

ok i think that she maybe just wanted to be there for him while he quit to support him and didnt want him to go through a break up during that time. maybe she's a smoker and doesnt want to ruin his quitting by smoking in front of him.
give me a bit more info if you need anything else. <3

Well, like the people below me said, most girls are turned OFF when with guy smokers, but not always. She might have dumped him because sometimes after people quit, they get very short with people and they are tempermental. I dont know, maybe that's why. I would just ask her, she might havea totally different reason. Don't try to hard to get them back together. They might just not like eachother now. If it doesn't work out, it shouldn't be your problem.

Hey i think most girls are turned off my smokers. Heavy drinking is somthing that might be a turn off but its also not good to do so.

Ask your friends girl why she dumped him, if it WAS cos he quit smoking tell her she is very foolish and ask her why she was with him in the first place. Cause if she dumped him cos he quit smoking i think she proberly didnt like him much in the first place. But there might be other reason why she dumped him so ask her about it. Cause it does seem a prety dumb reason to dump someone.

I wish you luck sorting out your friends relationship.

most girls are def. turned OFF by smoking. heavy drinking is also a turn off. who wants a boyfriend that is drunk all the time? i'm not sure how old you are, but if youre old enough then drinking now and then is probably fine as long as you're not like an alcoholic. about talking to the girl, first try and find out why she left him because of smoking. ask, "why'd you leave him after he quit smoking?"

well i guess it depends on the girl but i get turned off by smoking and drinking. she may have put it off on that because i dont know any girl who would dump someone because they quit such a bad habit. unless she was addicted as well and cant get ciggarettes from anyone else. she may have just wanted out of the relationship and said that was the reason.
i hope i helped.

well, first of all i think you should stay out of their relationship.. i know you want to make things better but they need to handle things on their own. every girl has different views on smoking.. personally i find it a major turn off and would never date a guy who does smoke. i don't mind if guys drink.. but if they drink all the time.. and rely on drinking to have a good time at parties, then i won't date a guy like that.

wow, that is so damn weird.
some girls do find it a turn on when guys smoke.
but um, smoking kinda kills, so she's not thinking about him and she doesn't truely care about him.
