Its an obsessive thing, yes. It only becomes compulsive if she does that same act repeatidly no matter the circumstances. Like for instance someone who whenever they see the color red they scream, that would be obsessive compulsive. Obsessive being- they make a mental note to do it. Compulsive being, its repetitive. She may have slight OCD, which is what I have. But it does sound like a symptom of it. ]
arwwww, my grandma does the same thing. i think its just granny nature. all of us will be doing that in a few dozen years...... ]
Your granny sounds like my Grandma. I would say that it isn't OCD, but I'm not a professional.
I tell you it probably isn't because my grandma is bothered by unmade beds and anything that isn't neat and tidy because she grew up in a time where women kept everything clean enough to pass the white glove test and beds were never left unmade. No dirty dishes, no unwashed or unfolded laundry, no dust. When she grew up and when she was raising her children, women didn't generally work because their job was keeping up the house and tending to their children.
My grandma did housework from the time she got up in the morning until after the supper dishes were washed.
That may be the sort of life your granny led as well, and would explain why she is obsessed with making beds, etc. ]
I think if granny had an OCD it would have been caught before now.
She is probably just a neat freak. My granny was the same way. It probably has more to do with how she was raised. :) ]
Here is a site I found for people with OCD. Check it and see if some of the syptoms on the page are familiar with anything your grandma does:
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
But from the way I'm readng, it does say people with OCD have a tendency to hate having germs and dirt and things around, but they wash their hands repeatedly and fix things over and over again and if they didn't repeat it over again and just tried to ignore it, horrible of images such as their parents dying or something would fill in their head and they'd think that if they didn't repeat it their parents might die or something so then they repeat it over and over again and it slowly becomes a daily routine.
But the way you describe it, if she's just fixing the bed once and everything, it just sounds like she's a very orderly person and likes things to be in place and extremely neat. But like I said, just check out the site, see if your grandma has similiar symptoms and maybe even take her to a doctor or someone to see if she has it. I hope I helped.

omgsh! don't listen to the girl below me, that is just horrible.
i would say either your grandmom just really cares about you and likes everything to be neat, or she might have a slight case of OCD. but just because she has OCD doesn't mean you have to send her to a nursing home like the girl below me suggested. i mean its not hurting anyone to have neat beds and clean nightgowns now is it?
if it bothers you, then you can take her to a doctor and see if she does have OCD and then the doctor can do something about it.
hope i helped you some <3 ]
Yeah, you should probably send her away to a nursing home or an insane asylum. Either, at least shes off your back!!! Now she doesnt have to pick your lint, or make your bed. And to make sure she doesn't somehow come back, why not cremate her?
Hope that helps!!! ]
