hannahd answered Tuesday August 29 2006, 8:59 pm: Well, energy drinks aren't a good idea if you're going to be exercising. They may give you the energy you need, but when it eventually wears off..you're more tired than you were to begin with. Stick to water & gatorade to keep you hydrated. Try the Marathon bars or a breakfast with carbs. [ hannahd's advice column | Ask hannahd A Question ]
god-smusgrove answered Tuesday August 29 2006, 8:14 pm: ok, rudy revolution...its just coming out and is so much better for you than gatorade...it has vitamins in it that help prevent:
cramps
muscle aches
dehydration
and it also has some vitamins that increase the amount of adrenaline your body produces. most college coaches REQUIRE you to drink this stuff because its sooo good for you. and also any thing high protein will help you with your morning run. naturally_sadie answered Tuesday August 29 2006, 8:04 pm: Energy drinks are really bad for you they have tons of sugar in them and caffine and once the energy is gone you are sooo tired. For energy bars, power bars work the best. They taste good and come in different flavors.
Jess5764 answered Tuesday August 29 2006, 6:54 pm: do not drink energy drinks. escpecially carbonated ones they are AWFUL for you.
however, after you run it is good to drink endurox or accelerade it restores your muscles. i like power bars (peanut butter and vanilla) and clif bars [ Jess5764's advice column | Ask Jess5764 A Question ]
baseball34 answered Tuesday August 29 2006, 6:50 pm: Those energy drinks are full of sugar and caffeine. They might give you a boost of energy, but you will get tired from the sugar and caffeine dehydrates you. For bars, try a bar called Nature Valley. They are with the granola bars at the grocery store. They have a lot of carbohydrates and I think that they are good. Try to find something with a lot of carbohydrates, but if it has protein in it it's better because protein will help rebuild your muscles. [ baseball34's advice column | Ask baseball34 A Question ]
