I have a ceramic one two and lots of others. THat is a great one to purchase! If you use it everyday make sure your hair is clean and you use a resaonable amount of conditionar. ALso after it dries try and use Philip B. or Bumble and Bumble leave in conditionar or any type of heat resistant or conditionor to help prevent damaging your hair.
ConfusedX2 answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 6:24 pm: i dont kno the specific type youre talking about, but conair is an okay brand for straighteners. Ceramic is good, but the settings dont really matter, all that matters is like how hot it gets, cause basically the hotter, usually the better it straightens, and lasts. With any straightner, your hair will get damaged, but to reduce this, you can use a specific kind of conditioner (I use garnier fructis) and also spray your hair right before straightening to not only protect your hair, but to make it more shiny and it will hold longer. (Im very happy with Paul Mitchell Seal and Shine. Seems to be the best, costs about $7 i think, but its worth it) [ ConfusedX2's advice column | Ask ConfusedX2 A Question ]
queenhearts answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 6:12 pm: I heard it's a good one.
Yes it will damage your hair if you use it everyday.
Heat damages the hair.
If you plan on doing it everyday
then buy one of those recovery deep conidiontors.
Use it every week for 3 or 5 minutes..whatever it tells you on the box or bottle..
Natasha_Chasse answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 5:53 pm: Yes that is actually a very good hair straightener, but just to tell you, you can buy a million dollar hair straighterner, and if you straighten your hair every day it would damage your hair, but a good product that I use to help fix my hair after its damaged is Head and Shoulders its a really good hair shampoo [ Natasha_Chasse's advice column | Ask Natasha_Chasse A Question ]

xoMarisox answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 5:12 pm: I'm not sure about your hair type, but conair's don't have the best reputation. I know people that have used them and they straighten the peoples hair for like an hour then it turns wavy and stuff. I don't recomend it. I recomend Rusk. It works for all types of hair. It makes my hair super super SUPER straight.
Your hair will damage if you use it everyday. So I suggest two products. They are both from a compony called Aquage. The first one is a shining spray and the other is an ultra straightening gel that you put in your hair when it is wet.
xomegaroni answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 4:18 pm: depending on your hair type, i wouldn't suggest conair. it didn't do anything for me. i now use Revlon. whatever brand you do use, make sure it's a ceramic straightner. they do a lot better & won't damage your hair as much. here's a website-
also-- any straighter will damage your hair if you use it everyday. some ways to prevent worse damage would be not straightening while its wet [if you would buy a waterproof straightner]. make sure your hair is completely dry.
