If you're going to drink Pepsi or coffee or anything, I suggest doing it early in the morning to one: wake you up, and two: keep you up most of the day because I've heard that caffine can last up to 10 hours, so if you're drinking it at like, 6 in the afternoon, you're going to be up for a good while.
What I've been trying lately is to set a really loud alarm clock, and if that doesn't wake me up, surely someone in the house will and want to turn it off, so whenever they come in my room to turn it off, I just asked them to wake me up also while they're doing it. Before the alarm clock idea, I'd just have my mother wake me up. [ but sometimes she forgets haha ].
To make yourself tired, maybe run around your neighborhood a couple times before you go to bed and exercise a little, or just hang out with your friends during the day [ that always wipes me out haha ].
Another thing I've read is do you take naps? Because if you do, you can only take them for 30 mintues or less, because if you take them for an hour or more, your brain will think you're going into an all-night sleep, so it will just let you go off into dreamland, so whenever you wake up, you'll be all tired and what-not.
And hopefully, after awhile, your body'll just get adjusted to being tired earlier at night, and you'll want to go to bed sooner. I hope I helped. <3 [ MelLeDisko's advice column | Ask MelLeDisko A Question ]

During the day just try and excirse and set a time that you want to go to sleep everynight. If you cant sleep, try reading until you cant read anymore. This will start to get to into a runteen. =] [ cherry01's advice column | Ask cherry01 A Question ]

When you try to sleep, do the following.
1. Find a comfortable place on your bed and don't move until you are sleeping or if you have to.
2. The noises around you, try to block out.
3. Nothing should be on your mind, or you stay awake.
4. ZZZZZ
This is what I do. Sometimes if you have so much on your mind, you can't sleep!.

Also, eat things that would give you energy...Fiber, calcium. If you watch TV when you're going to bed put on something that doesn't interest you, so that you'll be bored. You might want to try flipping your mattress it could be more comfortable. [ LiSaxOBaBii's advice column | Ask LiSaxOBaBii A Question ]

Helpful answered Thursday August 17 2006, 12:29 pm: This happens to me in the summer, when I have nothing to do. I stay up late, then my body keeps me up even later because I know that I can sleep in in the morning. I solved this problem by setting my alarm clock for a reasonable time in the morning (say eight o'clock). No matter what, I wake up at that time, I don't just lie in bed. Then, at night, I am tired enough to fall asleep earlier. It may take a little while, but soon you will fall asleep at an earlier hour so you can get enough sleep. Hope I helped! lilteacup answered Thursday August 17 2006, 11:44 am: You may have insomnia.
Do you drink lots of coffee in the day, you should cut down on it? Do you take naps...don't. Try reading a book when you want to go to sleep, it always makes me sleepy, so it may help you too.
Another thing you may want to do is...go to sleep at whatever time you fall asleep...but force yourself to wake up early and only get a little bit of sleep. That way, you'll get sleepy earlier on in the day.
But if none of these things work, you should speak to a doctor.
