i used to cut. it got really bad, up to 5 times a day, so im not jst some random girl who has no idea what shes talking about.

what finally got me to stop was seeing someone. a therapist. she told me to look at what its doing to my family and friends, and see if i could picture them doing that. i felt like i was hurting my little sister most of all. she was forgotten through all of it. i wish i never did it.

-get a therapist
-go running instead of cutting
-use rubber bands...seems wierd, but it help a bit

look at yourself in the mirror and ask, "is this really what i want to do for the rest of my life? im hurting people i care about."

i hope things go okay.
im here if you need me.

Get professional help. Seriously. If you try to do this by yourself, you may just end up starting again (like how you stopped in june and are now starting again.) Cutting has to do with emotional issues much deeper, so seeing a therapist or something of that sort will solve it. The first step is actually WANTING to stop, and wanting help so you're on you're way already. i would suggest telling your parents, and asking them to find you somebody to help you deal with the stuff that causes you to cut. please get professional help - doing it yourself may stop it for a little while, but it probably will come back again. there are other solutions to problems in your life. a therapist or psychiatrist will help you solve those problems and find better ways to deal. good luck.

If you cut yourself you will not only leave a scar on your skin but deep down inside. When your older and you see this scar you will feel deep regret. Its NEVER going to solve any of your problems and do you know you can get deadly diseases from it??What if you cut your nerve once?youll DIE.please for once just think before you do anything about the consenquences. If someones ever used the tool you used to cut yourself to cut THEMSELVES,theres a chance you can get HIV!!!Buy a punching bad and let your anger out on it buy cutting it instead.

Cutting is an addiction.
& is something really hard to get over!

Is their a reason why you cut yourself?
..if their is [let me know & ill offer you more advice]

I know people who do this - and it upsets me.
This is what you should do.
First, by getting over your cutting addiction, do something that you like. Like going somewhere - Arcades ; Movies ; Ice Skating etc. Get your mind off of things. You don't want to have things on your mind [bad things especially] cause then, it will just keep making you even more upset & want to cut yourself. When you go places go with your friends. Have fun. Get your mind off of things.
Another thing I would say is, spend more time at your friends house rather than at your house.

Please don't feel afraird to let me know whats going on.
Feel free to let me know & I promise to answer your problems.
:D

Nallie answered Monday July 31 2006, 11:01 pm:
Cutting is like an addiction, it's difficult to stop, but not impossible. Of course it upsets people, partially because they don't understand. Most people who cut don't want to die, they just want their emotional pain to hide under the mask of the physical pain. The truth is, you could die though, either from an infection or a cut that's too deep and by hitting the wrong spot. You are probably well aware of that. The best bet is, if you don't want to tell your parents, make up an excuse to see your family Dr alone. Then talk to the Doctor or the Nurse. They can tell you where and how to get help. Don't try to do it alone.

Cutting no good doll. Try to find other ways to release your angst - the ever popular writing, listen to music that describes your feelings, watch TV, try thinking about positive things. Heck, try anything that you think would make you happy! Even just talking to someone about what's going on might help out alot too - find someone you can trust with your feelings & talk to them, a good friend or something.
