I need a new dresser so my mom showed me a really cool site with lots of inexpensive furniture. She said that if I want a new dresser, I'd have to sell some of my old stuff on the same site. Here's the dilemma: I found a couch and a chair on this site that are $150 for both! They're made out of denim, and that's the theme for my room. I have about $120 so my mom would only have to lend me $30 and pick it up for me (it's only 20-30 minutes away). She said no and that I need to focus on the dresser. What should I do? Someone else will buy them soon.

Have a garage sell. Or tell her you can make do with you current dresser.. Or she could simply buy some paint, or you could find a dresser in someones trash, seriously. People get rid of things they think they don't need.

Well why can't you sell some of the junk you don't need. "One person's garbage is another person's treasure!" So pick stuff maybe you used when you were smaller but you dont use it anymore. And sell that online for money. Or try to make money other ways. Like chores around the house or do some babysitting. Hope I helped.

Ok, so I know the courch and chair are cool and fit the theme of your room, but you said you NEED and dresser. So, I suggest that you use the money for the item you need, and get the items you want with money you save.
If the dresser isn't $120, then you already have a start on saving for your couch and chair set. If it's gone when you have the money to buy it, don't worry. I know there will be something out there you will like better.

Well lets see here the point was to get a dresser right? right. And I am assuming you have to buy the dresser yourself?? So i think you should get some money by babysitting, selling stuff, laying back on shopping ( i know thats a tough one) and then you can earn enough money to buy whichever one you want without borrowing money... and that way its all of your money going to whatever you want to buy. If your mom is buying you the dresser just keep earning money and then you can have both =]
