It moisturizes you skin without making it to oily, there is no shine and it gives great flawless cover. It's the Clinique line of foundations. They have an awsesome body and makeup line. They are a bit pricy for some but for me I can say not. They are great I don't care about the cost. The product works right away. They also have consultants at thier stand that will match you with all the perfect products that you might need and will do your makeup for you right there on the spot to show you how to apply and find your right shades and looks and whats better is the makeover is free. You can only find Clinique at Dillard's or online. Yoy should try it. It's wonderful [ angel3102's advice column | Ask angel3102 A Question ]
LM answered Thursday July 27 2006, 8:58 pm: I use Maybelline Pure Makeup and Dream Matte Mousse. I have combination skin and they've worked really well for me. Even my parents think I'm not wearing makeup when I have it on, and it covers up virtually every imperfection on my face).
No matter how expensive/ high quality your foundation is, it'll look terrible (or not as natural as it could look) if your face has lots of dead skin cells on it or is excessively oily (I know, it sounds disgusting). For this reason, I'd recommend washing your face with a gentle cleanser beforehand (or at least rinsing with water). The best method (at least in my experience) is using a scrub. I like St. Ives Apricot Scrub, but any kind that you like the smell of (and is good for your skin type) will work. Scrubs will exfoliate away all the icky stuff that can buildup in your pores, and will make your face look fresh and glowing (making you need less foundation, and therefore it'll be less cakey and fake-looking).
Also, if you need touch-ups during the day: pressed and/or loose face powder is *usually* better than layering on more foundation. Plus, powder controls shine better than foundation and is easier to reapply away from home too.

cecaaa answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 8:16 pm: I've found that most liquid foundations make you look fake and overdone, and like you have tons of makeup on. They are also messy and can create a break around your jawline so that everyone can tell you are wearing foundation, and you want everyone to think your skin is naturally perfect!
So what I do is I use a concealer to cover up any redness or imperfections (like acne), and then I use Covergirl Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder all over my face. I know that Covergirl is a cheap drugstore brand, but trust me I have tried tons of designer brands too that are much more expensive and none of them work nearly as well as this does.
sexybandgeek answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 3:40 pm: I use Maybelline Pure Makeup. Its shine free and comes in a variety of skin tones, Light, Medium, and Dark with a variety of each of those skin tones. Choose the one that is right for you. There is also concealer that controls acne as well as covers it and is good for those pimples that occasionally pop up, and unlike most makeups doesn't make it worse. It makes your skin look natural and doesn't dry it out or cake at all.
Its 6-7 dollars and can be found at CVS, Target or other stores that sell makeup. [ sexybandgeek's advice column | Ask sexybandgeek A Question ]
