fantasmatranoi answered Friday July 28 2006, 9:56 am: Alcohol affects everyone in different ways, and if you have doubts, my best bet would be to say no, and make your own decisions. Your friends probably aren't trying to harm you, but just involve you a little more, so they should still respect your decision not to drink until you feel ready. GoodAdviceGiver05 answered Thursday July 27 2006, 5:39 pm: NEVER, give into peer pressure. You should definately talk to your friends about this. It causes brain damage and especially since your only 14. Do whats right for you, and not for your friends. Hope i helped!! :] [ GoodAdviceGiver05's advice column | Ask GoodAdviceGiver05 A Question ]

lostxlustx151 answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 6:07 pm: Okay, there not fine. Because they get drunk pass out/go to sleep and wake up in the morning with a killer hang over. And no they're not fun at all.
You're 14 and I leanred if you start drinking at a young age before your body is fully develpoed you will harm your liver. It's pretty bad, it's nothing fun to look foward to. Anyways explain you're standing your ground you're not going to drink because you're better then that, and you don't want to break the law, and get charged with underage [& the long hours of community serivce that come along with that, and all the fines and court dates]. Trust me yes they come, I was charged with it already :]. [ lostxlustx151's advice column | Ask lostxlustx151 A Question ]
Vikki27 answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 5:35 pm: You know what? I'm 21 now and I didn't start drinking til I was 18. I actually started drinking my first alcohol on my 18th birthday.
I know peer preassure is tough but you have to stay strong against it because if you give in once, it's easier to give in time and time again.
I've never given in to peer pressure in my life. Yes, it can make you lonely sometimes but I have NO REGRETS about not giving in. I've never done drugs, never even touched a cigarette, I've only ever been hungover once (trust me, it's a HORRIBLE experience and I don't understand why people keep trying to give themselves them!!)and I've never stolen from or tormented people just because the people I was with thought it would be funny.
take_thisride answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 5:17 pm: I wouldn't drink if I was you.
Let them get drunk and impress eachother.
Be different and just don't do it.
You can have fun without getting drunk and acting foolish. [ take_thisride's advice column | Ask take_thisride A Question ]
caramella answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 11:57 am: in my opinion i think youre too young to get drunk and even for adults its not good.tell your freinds to respect your opinion that you dont want to get drunk just like you respect the fact that THEY get drunk. these drinks consist mainly of alcohol wich can cause brain damage and really scary flashbacks and you might even think you see someone and noones actually there...trust me i took it in science this year.Dont ler them force you into doing something you will regret later on,honestly.....if they jumped off a bridge would YOU do it?? Bellaitaliana311 answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 11:21 pm: Peer pressure hun. Please dont drink. You will get addicted to drinking and it will end up ruining your future if you do it too much. Just like drugs. I know its hard to say no but if your friends have any respect for you they will listen to you, and if they dont, i think its time you made new friends. xoxo [ Bellaitaliana311's advice column | Ask Bellaitaliana311 A Question ]
No_such_thing_as_self answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 9:51 pm: Well, I study this kind of stuff. And to me it is a hard drug. I`ve since people do coke and other hard drugs and they seemed fine. But theyre not really. All drugs are bad for you. They effect you brain! That is who you are is your brain. And by drinking your damaging That and other parts of your body. And by drinking you can do stupid shit. Some of the things i`ve seen while people are drunk is, Have sex with 8 guys at different times in one night. Jump of houses, Beat a best friend up for no reason. Try to rip of her ear. Pee in front of people(it was a girl too)break bones, Woke up to someone they dont know. I`ve almost been raped by a guy then a girl while drunk. Its not that fun of a drug. If its your first high then you`ll love it and dislike a little of other drugs. No good comes out of Booze.
And if you look around that site you`ll see there are other plants that wont kill you and get you "high" that might be growing in your backyard or someone who lives close. But you are 14 so i dont reccomen you do drugs. I myself didnt start doing then till i was 16. [ No_such_thing_as_self's advice column | Ask No_such_thing_as_self A Question ]
LoveNJstyle answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 9:49 pm: it's not a big deal. don't do anything you don't want to. do it if you really want to for yourself, not for anyone else (and that goes for everything like this). if you want more on this drop one in my inbox telling me who you are & i'll send one to your inbox. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
