Blonde Hair

Question Posted Friday July 21 2006, 2:52 pm

I have light brown hair and I was wondering what I could do to get blonder hair. Not totally blonde but light blonde or dirty blonde. And I dont really wanna buy something. Maybe I could make something.

I squeezed a couple of lemons and mixed it in with my conditioner. But, since my hair was previously a dark red and the lemons caused it to become a lighter red, I don't know what effects it can cause on light brown hair. I've heard it can make it an orangish color actually. There are also things you can buy that you put in your hair and then go in the sun and they will make it lighter. Blonder, more specifically.

Lemons. I'm not sure how effective it is, but I have heard that if you sit out in the sun with lemon juice on your hair, it will lighten it.

If you live near the ocean I heard swimming in salt water (in the sun) lightens your hair!

Good luck :)

some people use lemon juice, but it dries out your hair. Honey works good too, and it moisturizes your hair!

lemon juice works specially when your in the sun. but sometimes just being in the sun makes your hair lighter if you have natural highlights. & lemon juice isnt expensive and/or might be in your fridgee. :]
