worried about a lot!!!

Question Posted Friday July 21 2006, 8:49 am

Ok I'm a 14/f. I'm getting ready to go to high school with my boyfriend. I'm a cheerleader and hes a football player. Well, at my school cheerleaders and football players aren't allowed to date! What should I do?

arnt allowed as in its a school rule? i dont think so. Who cares about that? If you guys are really serious then you shoudlnt care what other people think. Usually football players and cheerleaders are the ones who do go out...

The school cannot have legal control over who dates who no matter what sport or activity they are involved. And quitting your sport for a relationship should be out of the question; you're 14. Keep going out with him - just don't be too obvious about it. & you should be fine.

Okay, first of all it's none of the faculty's business who's dating who. I don't think they can legally enforce that. Personally I think it's bullshit.
Don't announce it to them. If they figure it out and give you a hard time about it, either tell them you're just close friends, or tell them to get their nose out of your business.
Just don't do public displays of affection, hide the relationship from the faculty, and you should be fine.
There's no reason to give up anything in this situation. You shouldn't have to give up cheerleading to be with him, he shouldn't have to give up football to be with you, and neither of you should have to give up the relationship just to stay with the sports you love.
It's ridiculous.
Take my advice - just don't tell the faculty.

The school shouldn't really have that much power over who dates who... that's just WEIRD. I'd just not tell anyone that you're dating, and you can always deny it if you're asked. You and your boyfriend know the truth, and that all the matters.

Or, you can tell any teacher who gets in your way,
"we only date after [time when school gets out] so we're not doing anything wrong, you see!"

Good Luck!

Awe , well if you think you 2 have a really close & long lasting relationship going then you should maybe talk to him and think over it and maybe he can quit football & you can quit cheerleading .But if you think the relationship is less important than cheerleading , then i guess you could talk to him and brake up! Or you guys can just not tell anyone that you`re going out! It`s really all just up to you! Good Luck! ♥
