I want to take a picture of my self that looks like this. Example: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

How should I position the camera when I take the picture? How close to my body and how far up?

i have never understood the point of those pictures...they make you look retarded and like you have absolutly no life but to sit around, take pictures of yourself and put them on myspace.

hold the camera directly in front of you so the lense faces your face, have your arm stretched out as far as it can go. Then raise your arm up still with the camera in the same position. As your raising your arm follow the camera with your eyes. When your eyes can't look up anymore without moving your head then it's in the perfect position. Hope i helped.
