My 17 year old sister is gone to bootcamp. She wont get out till January 17th 2007. I'm only allowed to see her 2 times between now and then. She is also allowed 1 phone call a week for a max of 5 minutes. Oh My God I'm so freakin' sad cuz we were so close and the day she left, when it came time to tell me bye, she went hysterical crying, that didnt make it any easier when I was trying with everything I had to suck it up and not cry. We were told to write her as much as possible but after 3 letters, I'm getting stumped, Ive already went on and on about how proud I was of her and told her things that were going on in my life, but I'm not that interesting lol so there's only so much I can say about that. I need help on topics to talk about in the letters, or what to discuss to keep her in on the latest news and stuff (She lovesssss music) I dunno... Any Ideas are much appreciated and I will certainly rate and give feedback for your time.

this is so tough.
I'm sorry she went away, it must be so hard!
Hang in there!
Okay some topics you can write about
are like.. new bands you've found, or
you can design stationary with cool pictures, you can make her cards, oh but topics you can write about, how your day was, the weaather, if something funny happened, or do some research about boot camp, and maybe you'll find something to write about that you can ask her about it. You know? <33 [ DefinedEyes's advice column | Ask DefinedEyes A Question ]

Big tests that you did well on, parties you went to, the biggest world and local news... talk about what you used to talk about when she was at home. She'll appreciate the sense of normality in your phone and letter conversations. [ xoIDOLox's advice column | Ask xoIDOLox A Question ]
pinklemonade93 answered Wednesday July 19 2006, 1:16 pm: Try asking her stuff. Or just make up some cool storie. kinda like a tv show. you can send her magazine articles or pages from magazines. you can also send her parts of the newspaper so she knows about whats going on back in your town. lookitslorin answered Wednesday July 19 2006, 12:33 pm: Ok. Dont sugarcoat things. Really tell her how you feel. Tell her you miss her and you are practically misserable. But dont make her feel too bad. Tell her about your day. The good and the bad. Tell her if you got a new boyfriend. Or a new X-boyfriend. lol Just talk about stuff that you would when she wasnt at bootcamp. Well if you have any more questions, you know where to find me and I hope I helped. :] [ lookitslorin's advice column | Ask lookitslorin A Question ]
MODERNDURATION answered Wednesday July 19 2006, 12:01 pm: hello,
i use to have the same problem but now i just talk about anything. Here is some stuff you can talk about.
talk about home life, talk about your friends, ask her how she is doing and whate she is doing, tell her about the weather, tell her about the events going on in your town, talk to her about something new you experienced, how about a new song on the radio you think she would like, or talk about memories and how much you miss her, you could talk about a new outfit you bought or a new haircut you got, the skys the limit. Heck you could even write her a song about how much you love her since she loves music so much. i hope this helps out.
